Fitbit Alta keeps shutting down

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My 65 days old Fitbit Alta with a full charge shuts down after 4 or 5 hours.  When I plug it in, it resets without me pushing the button.  The charge battery symbol displays before the clock, and continues to display after I unplug the cable even.  Again after several hours, my Fitbit shuts down.

Hope someone can help as I have tried "Chat" only to be put on hold for three hours the first time and one hour the second.

Me too! Mine is about 18 months old. Keeps shutting off and I keep resetting it. Yet, my sister has the same style - probably 15 months old - and hers is working fine.

Fitbit Alta keeps shutting down too! My first one did it after about 2 years and I gave up and got a new one, this one has lasted much longer but is doing the same thing. I've done the reset several times and it'll work for a day at most if I'm lucky. Seems this is a known issue, if there a way to fix it?

I have up. I got tired of restarting and an hour later shuts down. Looking around for a different brand

Hi, I am having a very similar issue - as soon as Fitbit reaches a charge of 80% it shuts down - have tried restarting and still does not work - any help appreciated

Yes... I’m the same. Seems ridiculous when so many people are having the same issue.

Yes and I have written to them many times. I bought four fitbits two for me and two for family. My Fitbit Alta is the only one not working. The other one I got was for swimming the text notifications work on and off. The Fitbit Alta notifications don’t work at all along with shutting down on a full charge. I ask for a new one since I spent so much money on four of them they aren’t willing to replace one Fitbit. I’m so upset they don’t care.
