Fitbit Alta not able to set up because no connection (Windows 10)

A few days ago, I found a Fitbit I lost the charger to and decided to order a charger. Once charged, I tried to pair it to my computer. I followed the steps, but my Fitbit wouldn't connect. It shows up in my bluetooth add devices panel, but when I click "Add device", it either doesn't connect ("Try connecting this device again.") or a popup shows up saying "your device" is trying to connect, and a confirmation pops up that fails instantly when I accept. I was charging the Alta. I've tried everything I can (feel free to suggest anything you can think of, I cannot remember everything I've done so you may have a suggestion I haven't tried), but you must understand:

- The charger I ordered does not have a button on it to reset (It is not an official Fitbit charger, just compatible with Alta)

- The only interface I have with said Fitbit is through its screen, it is not paired with anything

- I do not have the wireless connection dongle or whatever (I love the word 'dongle')

- There is no way for me to check whether it is connected to another device, though I don't think it is

I can attempt to connect to a phone of my parents' (I do not have one yet), and I hope it will work - however, I want to ask here first if there's anything I can do without it. Is there something in the Fitbit app (Also can't find anything) that I installed to my computer? Should I take another few dollars to get the dongle? Is there something I can do while I DO have it connected to the app, in which case I do need to connect it to my parents' phone so it connects here?

Basically, what do I do to sync it to my computer? Sorry if I forgot something, you can ask a question to clarify if needed and I have negative two experience with forums. Thanks in advance for whatever answers you can give me!

Hi @Emblem When you try to pair a fitbit you should never try to do it via the phone or computers bluetooth screen. It has to be done through the app. Have you managed to set it up, and are trying to sync, or are you stuck on Set up. Have a look at these Help Articles and hopefully one of them will fix your problem
