Same here, when I plug it in and reset it the battery shows life, as soon as I unplug from the charger it conks out. I wear mine everyday so this is very sad... I’ve had it almost 2 years and just started having issues  within the last 2 weeks. Have tried cleaning and multiple resets, any ideas anyone? Was hoping for a fix and not to have to buy a new product.

Same here.  I have restarted it several times.  It will display if it is on the charger but as soon as I unplug it, nothing will display.

The same thing started for me last Sunday. Why isn't Fitbit addressing this? Is it just to get us to buy a new Fitbit?

I would say yes - it is unfortunate that you can't replace batteries for
these fitbits. I spent a lot of $'s buying extra bracelets that of course
don't fit other fitbit models. The Fitbit alta hr/alta is not sold by
fitbit anymore so you can't even buy a new one!

I certainly am not buying another used one - i am looking at other
tracking bracelets and giving up on fitbit!

I had an Alta HR that stopped working completely - wouldn't hold a charge. I wanted to use all the bracelets I bought so I purchased a used Alta and it worked for a day or two then stopped. When I reset it - it worked for a day. The battery was still charged but the fitbit didn't work - so I asked fitbit and this is where we are today.

I want another Alta HR - it worked great for what I wanted and I could use the extra straps I've purchased previously. Too bad the new 'version' of the Alta/Alta HR has a different bracelet mechanism so of course you can't use the Alta/HR straps.

Same problem here, I also had an Aria scale that quit working after about a year and a half and Fitbit said too bad so sad. I had a Fitbit flex that lasted be a few years and decided to upgrade to a Fitbit Alta and have The same problem it charges but as soon as I take it off the charger it shuts off and I can’t get it turned back on unless I put it back on the charger. Needless to say I think my Fitbit days are over

I won't come out of sleep mode when tapped. I have to put it on charge to wake it. I noticed it happens when battery reaches 75%. Also the battery icon on the display looks lined as if charging when it is not on the charger.

I wonder if this is a software bug 🤔
