I have been having the same issues for over a week now. I also use my Fitbit to receive calls and messages. Now that it s unreliable and I need to carry my phone 24/7, I’ve decided to not use the Fitbit. I’m now using my phones Health app’s. Also checking into other products.

Tried all that...it lights up only in charging dock and the moment I remove, it dies. Customer care guy tells me "Plz try our new products, this one can't be fixed" ... Are u kidding me. When everything works in charging dock, why it dies on wrist ? Plz help. Can't let my $170 wasted with identity the root cause.

My Alta stops working when not connected to the computer.I have done everything you mentioned ,plus a message says( I am ready ),Still it will not work ,I had a replacement last April ,surely one can expect the tracker to last more then 6 months..
so many people are having the same problems therefore one can say that your products are not worth the money we pay for it,

As mentioned above, the best course of action would be to contact Fitbit.
While we know a lithium battery left in a dead state may self destruct it doesn't sound right for a 6 month old tracker.
I doubt it was dead for any lean gtg of time.

My Alta is doing the same thing as described above. I charged it until it said it was full and made sure it was synced with my phone. I tried to reset it by pressing the button on the charger three time, which it reset but then died as soon as I took it off of the charger. Please help!

I was disgusted by their denial that they were in any way at fault when everyones’ Fitbits died at the same time immediately after uploading the software update.
They had all their customers repeatedly rebooting, enquired whether they
had mistreated their fitbits, and offered a discount on a new model.
I was determined not to reward their lack of integrity by buying another of their products, so I bought a Garmin Forerunner, and I’m very happy with it.
I hope your fitbit is the exception and will start working again.

I've been trying to restart and it works while it is plugged in. Stay on for about 20 seconds then turns off and won't restart. Plug it back in and it seems to be fully charged. Does the battery go dead at some point?

Does anyone know when the last update or upgrade was done??? Of course Fitbit is trying to say we haven’t updated that software in a long time but all of these magically stopped working at or around the same time.

They’re refusing to take any responsibility for the fact that their
software “upgrade” bricked tens of thousands of FitBits. I was so disgusted
by their lack of integrity that I bought a Garmin.

Same here. They give the BS answer of it’s not our fault and or we didn’t do anything. Magically ALLLLLL these devices must have stopped working around the same time lol. No way. I had an Alta and a Blaze, both of which stopped working a few days apart in the same week out of nowhere.
When was this update done?
