Fitbit Alta won't display unless plugged in??

Help! My Fitbit Alta stopped working this week. It will only display when plugged in. It appears to be fully charged but goes out once off the charging cord. It had been working fine. No issues prior. Any suggestions?

I’m having the same issue. Just started a couple of days ago. I hope I can get it to work because I just bought new chargers and bands for it.

I'm also having this issue. I have tried resetting it. One minute it says fully charged then i take it off and it goes off again.

Please help!  I'm having the same issue with my Fitbit Alta.  The minute I unplug it, the screen goes black and will do nothing.  I have reset multiple times.  I tried someone else's suggestion of plugging into a wall outlet instead of USB port. I reset multiple times there also.  Someone else said that leaving theirs plugged in for 24 hrs resolved it for them.  It did not for me. 😞 

I had not realized how dependent I am on my Fitbit alarm to remind me to take my RX on time.

Anyone notice this problem started after the last software update on 6/30/20.

Having the same dilemma for the one I got for my son, We've only had it about 6 months and it works only for just a minute after you take it off the charging cord, then screen goes black. We've made new accounts, restarted it, and even got a new charger and it still doesn't work. Help?

No -tried everything / called support & they gave 25% off new Purchase but i just want my alta to work. Now my flex2 (use when swimming) wont pair with my phone. I had a charge & charge hr before this and they fell apart but electronics still worked so i stuck with fitbit. Im done with fitbit now.

So they will not do anything for you except a 25% discount? I dont want another Fitbit product that will possibly stop working after an update. They should refund us since the update caused it 🤦🏻‍:female_sign: Very frustrating!
