Help! My Fitbit Alta stopped working this week. It will only display when plugged in. It appears to be fully charged but goes out once off the charging cord. It had been working fine. No issues prior. Any suggestions?

I contacted Fitbit customer support this morning (Monday, July 20, 2020) about this very issue after experiencing the same problem as of yesterday afternoon and seeing so many other reports of the same problem. Fitbit support claims that they are aware of the issue and don't know what the "root cause" is. I was also reminded by customer support that this product is no longer in production and that the 25% discount they are extending is "really the best deal." I wish they would just fix it, allow for factory reset and battery replacement. It sounds like we are all out of luck since Fitbit chooses to neither offer any of the things mentioned above nor communicate the status of implementing or plans to implement a fix.

And here's the kicker. The 25% discount extended results in showing products that are priced higher than what is currently on offer at fitbit.com thus nullifying the complimentary discount. Unreal! Thanks so much for nothing, Fitbit.
