Hello,
I have recently bought an Alta HR and as soon as I got it I made an update which somehow kept stopping halfway. I managed to update it after several attempts. When I finished setup I tested a call notification and here something strange happened. It restarted and gave me a battery acon with an exclamation mark and on the app it says battery empty, as soon as I restart it using the charger, it is back to the last battery state. This happens also with message notifications and alarms but not normal notifications like 'take me for a walk', etc.
Right now I have disabled all notifications and alarms.
I have been looking for a way to downgrade in case the update is the problem, and I have seen others with the same problem but no clues.
Please help!

Hi @Bradypodion not sure where you found a new Alta HR for sale, since they have been retired for a few years. There is no way to downgrade any update. Have you tried restarting it? It's the first thing to do when something happens. Although it's entirely possible that the Alta HR is dying - the batteries don't last forever and with it being retired for a few years, your device has been on the shelf for quite some time.

Hi
Thank you for answering.
I have bought from a Fnac, a french store in Morocco. They still have other outdated devices for sale. I thought I'd grab this one and it's my first fitbit band.
I restarted it everytime that happened and still the problem persists. The battery lasts about 5 days with HR monitoring on but if I ever turn on notifications for calls and messages, it restarts again right away and gives me that battery with exclamation mark in it.
I don't think the problem is battery related because it can happen even if the band is fully charged.
If only I could downgrade because it seems this problem has only started happening after the update.
