Had the same thing start last week. Had given up and got a new Fitbit, then the hubby started playing with it because I was going to through it away. Started reading stuff on line and am currently trying this, it has worked for some, but not everyone.
1. Uninstall the app.
2. Put fit bit on charger.
3. Hit reset button 3 times until Fitbit factory resets. It took me a few tries to get out to b reset.
4. Reinstall app and reconnect Fitbit.
Mine is currently linked to a different phone and charging without flashing. If I double tap it it is charging, but the green light isn't on. I'll check the HR monitor in settings in a bit. Right now I'm crossing my fingers to get it to work, but if not I already have my new inspire2. Hope this helps you!
