This seems to be a recurring problem having looked at previous posts. Restarting the fitbit as described has not worked. Any solutions?

I am so highly annoyed with this same problem. My Alta randomly turns off, won't synch with my phone and stops counting steps which is essentially the only thing i want it to do and care about. I plug in, I use the 3x in 8 sec button on the charger, and still. I turn everything off and then back on. The Alta will synch (randomly) really well all day one day, and then the next day turn off and disconnect all day long. Is there a fix??

Having found no solutions here I contacted the Fitbit Customer Service ....Sadly (frustratingly) Fitbit seem to have NO further solution for this, what is clearly a technical problem/fault with their device. Apparently the 'good news' for me was that I could spend MORE money buying a new one with a discount from them!! I was thoroughly disappointed with their response to the problem and have contacted BBC Watchdog with my manufacturer complaint and looking into Consumer Rights - as I do not expect a device to basically 'break' and be of no use AT ALL after only a couple of years wear - for the money spent buying it. It is clearly a widespread problem they have with their device and they should fix it....

I have had the same problem, my Alta just shuts down after a day or so. I have tried the restart but am finding I have to do it nearly every day despite the battery being nearly fully charged. Not sure what to do, am not keen to buy another.
