Did you mean:

Fitbit won't warranty this product.

I'm having the same critical fault issue with my alta that many others on this forum have posted. I just called Fitbit directly and unless you purchased your Fitbit directly from them, they will not warranty their product. In the digital commerce world we live in, this is absurd. Tells me it's just not a good quality product. Don't waste your $150 bucks on an Alta. Just don't buy this product.

Hi @Cazoro8  you can read the warranty information here - click to read. If you purchased from a retailer that isn't authorized, it doesn't have a warranty. Same for purchases on eBay not being under warranty. The Alta wasn't $150 and it was retired a few years back when the Inspire series was introduced. You didn't say what the problem was, but most troubleshooting begins with a restart of the device.

Thanks for the info but this is not what the Customer Service agent told me this morning. I ordered my device through Amazon and paid $150. No where has any doc or website said Alta has been discontinued and is no longer supported.

The CS agent told me it had to be ordered from Fitbit's site to be warrantied. I have had it 45 days, so by your guidance, it should under warranty. Thoughts?

Also, I've already followed all of the tech support instructions for restarting, reconnecting with dongle, etc. None fixed the problem.

I don't want a refund, all ItI wantwwant is a Fitbit that works. How hard is that?!

@Cazoro8   If you are in the US, then Amazon is an Authorized Retailer.   If you aren't in the US, scroll to the bottom of the page to get to the link to your authorized retailers.  Then contact CS again and talk/chat with a different CS rep.

Amazon is a marketplace.  Items are Shipped and Sold by Amazon or sold by a third party partner.  An item must be shipped and sold by Amazon to be warrantied.
