FitbitHR suddenly shut down, will not turn on

My Fitbit Alta HR suddenly stopped working. It had about 75% charge on it. I plug into charger, does not vibrate, screen does not turn on. Cleaned contacts, tried again same thing.
Plugged USB into computer pressed button on USB 3 times when I first plugged it in, device still does not turn on, etc.
Any ideas on what the next steps are?

Mine stopped Sunday night. Noticed the screen was black so put it on the charger and it was still black Monday morning. Had a chance to look at it today and research if anyone else had posted something like this. I plugged in the cord and got it to vibrate once but has not again. The logo was coming up and I was able to fully charge the unit. It seems to be mysteriously counting "calories" in the app even though the app can't locate the "tracker". Nothing comes on the screen of the tracker.

Can anyone help? The unit is 1.5 years old and it has been awesome until now.

They replaced mine after I contacted their tech support. I had already done the troubleshooting steps so that made things quicker when talking to them.

I have the same issue. My Alta HR is a little over 1.5 years old.

About  2 weeks ago, suddenly it stopped working. I rebooted and it started again fine. Four days later same thing. It went dark. I rebooted again, and it  started. Same thing happened today, so I came to the forum to see if this happened to anyone else.

I really like the Alta HR, and I would hate to change it! I am disappointed that this is happening. Not sure if this has to do with any upgrade? It was working fine until then...

Thanks, just contacted them and they have 25% off a new tracker for me but not the new charge 4! They are quick to help with stuff but I thought it was going to be a firmware problem or something. Oh well, enjoy your new unit, I am going to look around.
