Frustrated that the green lights on my Alta HR started glowing constantly yesterday, which resulted in a drained battery after a few hours. I've tried turning Heart Rate monitor off and back on, tried charging, letting it drain and charging again, and tried re-setting with FitBit tech support... but nothing works. It is unusable as the battery only lasts a couple of hours, and frustrating as this happened to my last FitBit a little over a year ago.. that one could not be fixed.
I've read others comments posted in this forum from 2019 - 2021- and learned this is a 'known issue', yet FitBit has yet to resolve or take responsibility when this happens to a device. I'm waiting for Customer Service to call me back to let me know what- if anything- they will do. I have a pretty good guess based on their refusal to assist when this happened to my previous device. If anyone has ever fixed this issue, I'd appreciate knowing how. FitBit Techs are unable to resolve.
Bottom line... I'm disappointed that FitBit devices last only about a year, and I (and my family) are not likely to purchase anything else from FitBit... EVER. Instead will go to another company, pay half the amount and get the same features, hopefully that last longer.

Mine flashes green when it is moved. If left sitting the green flashing stops. Nothing shows on the front panel. GeoffBr
