Green light won't turn off and battery keeps being run low

My Alta's green light is now permanently on and the battery will not stay charged.  It will charge while it is on the charger though.  I have restarted/reset the device 4 or 5 times now.  And I updated it as well.  Please advise.

Hi @KimberlyNicole,

Try going into the settings for the tracker in the app. Find Heart Rate, turn to OFF. Then sync. Then go back and turn Heart Rate to AUTO, and sync once more.

Let us know if that fixes things for you.

Unfortunately that did not stop the green light from remaining on constantly.

I think you probably need to contact support. They will probably be able to sort you out or replace the device.

I agree she should contact support, it sounds beyond what we can troubleshoot here.

@WavyDavey I cant find how to do it on the ionic! But on my Alta HR when I switch to Off and sync the green lights are turned off and when I switch back to auto and sync they come on again.

@KimberlyNicole are your green lights flickering or are they constant?

@NellyG, my apologies, I was posting in this forum and the Ionic one and got confused. My AltaHR does indeed switch off the light.

Off Topic: The Ionic however, does not shut off the LED. The setting isn't in the app, but on the tracker.

My green lights are constant. They are so bright it's like a flashlight in a dark room lol. I guess I'll contact customer support. This is the 3rd replacement device they'll have to give me. I'm beginning to think I should've gotten a garmin!

FWIW, I contacted support and they were unable to fix my problem.  An offer of a 25% discount on a new one followed, but who wants to invest that much money in a watch that lasts three years?

I'm having the same problem for 3 days now.
