A while ago my Alta HR turned the two lead at the back HR monitor to high intensity, like a flash light, battery drains in less than two hours, tried reset, leaving it for weeks to fully drain the battery and nothing change.

Hello @kaitoo25, welcome to the Fitbit Community forums.
Thank you for sharing all this information about the trouble you've been having with the Alta HR not holding a charge for too long. Because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary, but it certainly shouldn't be drained withing a day.
Before considering other options, please make sure that you've followed the steps provided in this article: Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life?
In addition, try to perform a restart once more following the steps listed here, this has been useful for other users experiencing the same inconvenience.
Please keep me posted on the outcome.

Thank you for your prompt attention. During the last months I had reset my Fitbit Alta HR tens of times.
The problem I think is the green leds at the back of the unit, the ones for HR, they are as bright as a flashlight. I have a green cloud on my wrist, it works OK for a little while top 2 hrs and then DIED.
I am back to my Fitbit One, old an simple but faithful, no battery problems no extra features.
Maybe the problem is the Alta HR design, apparently I am not the only one facing this weird problem.

I have had this exact same problem. I have followed all the suggested tips NUMEROUS times, including resetting the device. The green light still stays on and drains the battery in a matter of hours. As a result, I don't even bother to wear it any more. It is too frustrating. Please advise a way for me to fix this.Thank you in advance!

Thankfully this thread exists. I also have the same problem with the light staying on all the time. I was going to contact Support, but it doesn’t look like it’s much help. A pity because I’ve had this Alta HR since 2017. Not impressed that Fitbit seems to also be on this “planned obsolescence “ strategy 😕🤨

Thank you @DavideFitbit , I tried the steps to restart the Fitbit. I tried them even before realizing there was a discussion forum. My Alta HR will only stay on for about an hour or two now. The light won’t turn off

Hello @kaitoo25, sorry for the late response.
I'm sorry to see that it wasn't possible to resolve the battery draining problem. It is particularly difficult when the device is no longer covered by the warranty, but even tough Support is eager to help with any problem you may experience with the product, they do need to adhere to the official warranty policy, this would start counting from the original date of purchase.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about the Alta HR; comments from users are always useful to continue to improving the quality of products and services.
Let me know if you have further questions.
