HI everyone
I have been using my Alta HR for over a year now. Suddenly it is registering my heart rate as way too high; when I am sitting watching TV it is showing my heart rate as in cardio mode. I know it's not, as I have taken my own pulse and it's its usual 52-55 bmp. For example, I drove for one hour in my car and it showed me as having done 60 active minutes. I have emailed the support centre, but did not get a satisfactory answer. I have also tried to reset the device and this has not made a difference. It's ridiculous as my calorie burn is now over 3500 per day!! Does anyone have any idea why this has suddenly started to happen ? TIA for any replies.

Have you done three restarts in a row? If not give that a go. If that doesnt help then you need to get back in touch with support Im afraid. Let us know how you go.
I will move this thread to Alta HR as you have posted in the Alta Forum instead.

ALTA HR
Issue: HR (resting) @ 121
Note: Hard Reset as suggested may or may not have worked.
Solution: Open App:
Settings >>> ALTA HR >>> Heart Rate
Choose AUTO (power save mode). L
Result: HR (resting) @ 85.
Note: This is still a bit (~10) high but much better than before.
Good Luck!

Mine is doing the same thing! I just tried the reset, will see if it works. Mine is 3 years old, so it’s probably time to get a new one anyway! Good luck with yours!
