I have had problems with my fitbit Alta HR for almost the whole year I have owned it. It recently became hot on my arm and would not charge, eventually having only black screen. Defective. I called in and was told to send it Fedex immediately and I would have a replacement back within 2 weeks. It is now 2 weeks later and they have not "received it".
What they don't tell you is that you are sending it to a fedex site nearby and it is a bulk shipment, once the container fills with orders at the FedEx hub they can send it to be received by Fitbit. Of course this is much cheaper than direct shipment to Fitbit. FedEx has delivered the container to Fitbit but fitbit hasn't opened it to log the individual orders. When I called the Caribbean customer service they had no idea about the procedures in Sacramento California. They told me it is not been delivered and no delivery date is available and they won't help me till they get the device.
I guess I wait for them to open the box and decide to send me a non defective unit. So frustrating.
