i am trying to set up the alta to my iphone 12. i have done all the trouble shooting, turning the bluetooth off and on again, making sure it is charged and my phone has the current version. i tried reseting the alta and that does not work, meaning it won't reset.

Hi @Curticeaaron is this a new Alta to you and you're setting up for the first time? Restarting the Fitbit requires the original charger unit with the button on it. While it uses bluetooth, it doesn't pair to it as it actually pairs to the email address.

It is new. It won’t reset. I even called Fitbit. They say it’s defective.

If it's new, @Curticeaaron , why not return it where you purchased it? Fitbit doesn't sell these anymore as they retired it years ago.
