I lost the original charger and bought one on Amazon and it doesn't have a button to restart it. Is there another way to restart my alta?

Unclasp and reclasp charger 3 times in a row. If that doesnt work, unplug and replug the USD 3 times in a row (1/2 to 1 second intervals).
This worked for me after Fitbit help line told me the only solution was an official Fitbit charger.
Best of luck!

They'll give you a discount on a new product but that's the best you can
get.
Hope it helps and sorry to hear about that. Same thing with mine.

You are AWESOME!!! Thank you so much. I found my Alta again, and instead of following the usual "disposable" society theory, wanted to reset it, but did not have the factory charger. Thank you for this tip! It worked!!

Your chargers always break. I have broken three of them doing nothing! I now need to reset my Fitbit Alta without a Fitbit original charger. Please assist.

Plug and unplug your USD 3 times very quickly. Seems to work for most people. Good luck.

unplugged and replugged 3x in quick succession, I believe it's within 15
seconds. It took me a couple tries the first time I had to do this. Good
luck 👍

Just unplug from computer 3x quickly!
Thanks!
Keep scrolling! Read how to do it!
Just unplug and plug into port 3x quickly!
It worked!
Yes! Unplug and replug into port 3x quickly. All the button does is cut the power to the charger .... so just do it manually!
I did it.
It works!
