I lost the original charger and bought one on Amazon and it doesn't have a button to restart it. Is there another way to restart my alta?

i have the same issue as @MGanesh i lost my original cable as i bought from my friend. i bought a new cable from amazon it fits my fitbit exactly there is no issue with the charger except that button. the charger does not have that button. it charges well its works well but after some time there is nothing on screen. it doest show anything, it doesnt wake till i connect it again to charger even if it is fully charged. it is a unused fitbit. my friend got that in 2017 but started to use it today after buying the charger. please help me with this issue. i dont understand why it shuts off. and the other issue is my cell is redmi note 5 pro i set notification thing and it asks for restart cell phone. i did it many time still i cant see any notification on my fitbit. it still shows the same notification on my cell to restart.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community forums @rishika! I apologize for the delay in my response. Thanks for letting us know that your original cable was lost and that you have the same issue with the screen that remains blank when is not on the charger. I appreciate all the details you provided. Did you tried restarting it by plugin and unplugin the charger to the Alta a few times in succession? If this doesn't work you can try unpairing the tracker and setting it up again after making sure that is charging well. Here is also the link to our store to get an original charger.
About the notifications, please check if your mobile device is compatible to receive notifications, then follow the steps on the following article: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone.
Hi @Margc2 nice to see you around, I apologize for the delay in my response to you too. Thanks a lot for sharing your experience when syncing. I'm happy to hear that everything is fine now.
Do not hesitate to contact me if you need anything else! 😉

Thank you for the plug and unplug three times quick--that did the trick! (no rhyme intended!)

It seems to work. I have only had the issue that one time. I plug the Alta in & out 3 times.
I should add that plugging in & out should be done quickly.

I lost my original cable and I bought a new cable from amazon it fits my Fitbit but there is no restart button. It shows its charging, and it works well but after a while, the screen goes blank. It doesn't turn on again until I connect to the charger again. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in again but it doesn't work. Please help me with this issue, I'm not sure what else I can do. Many thanks, Emma.
