I can't turn off text/call notifications

I've got the Fitbit Alta and in the last few weeks it will notify me when I get text messages, calls etc. There is no way to turn this off in the app, so the only thing I can do is turn it blue tooth. Any advice

You can turn it off in the app settings.

Can you explain what that means.  In the phone app settings I've got it set to block notifications from fit bit, but that isn't working

You need to turn off notifications in your Fitbit app.  In your app, go to your account (credit card icon) and tap Alta. Scroll down tonthe General headinf and the first item is Notifications. Tap that and tap each heading to check they are all turned off.

Hello Jogger,
There are 2 notifications. The one under the credit card icon does not
work.
Do this: Under the credit card icon, click on *Alta HR* on the very top,
then click on notifications. There you can turn off messages and calls.

Thanks for sharing your inquiry, let me help you out. Check out the instructions to turn the notifications off: 

• Open the Fitbit app 
• Tap on Account (is located on the lower right hand corner) 
• Select your Alta 
• Tap on Notifications Toggle off the notifications that you don't want to receive 
• Don't forget to sync after doing these changes

I have a fitbit alta and this isn't working for me... there's a "messages from friends" settled that I've disabled, but no where does it call out texts.  I'd appreciate any tips!

Hi Magin,

this isn't working for me either.  I have a fitbit alta.  no where are "texts" or calls called out on the notifications panel on the app.  I've disabled the "messages from friends" but I don't even think that's the right category.

Please help!  It's annoying.  A few times I've been woken up by calls and texts coming in too early for me!

When I turned all of mine off, I would still get my bank balance
ticker-tape across my FitBit display. Nothing else, mind you. Just my bank
balance.
