I've read all the problems in folks have had in the last fe weeks/months with Alta so need confirmation.
Mine is just over 3 years old, in perfect working condition, I've only changed the wrist one and depend on it but not it's not working for no reason. I've reset it and tried charging directly via computer, deleted and downloaded the ap, nothing. Now it will not even charge. I want to know if the product is not supported by Fitbit coz then I can get rid of it and say goodbye to my money. very frustrating.

Hi @Evertini I am not sure I fully understand what you have said, but it sounds to me as if your Alta HR is dying. 3 years is not a bad life span for a small relatively inexpensive piece of technology. If restarting it several times didn't help then I would guess it is dying. I believe it is no longer getting updates from Fitbit as it has been discontinued for 2 or 3 years now

Well I guess if you think 30 million items sold at $50 that all suddenly quit working because they were updated with death virus isn't a big deal, then you need to go back to grade school math. Suggest you buy a different brand, as I am about to do.

That you have had this many years of good use of your Fitbit HR makes you one of few lucky ones. The experience many had with that one has made Fitbit a company to avoid when searching for a replacement. The amount of hours used to try to get it to sync is just ridiculous. In my experience if you were unlucky enough to have the Alta HR run out of battery then you should be ready for an hour or more attempting to get it back. And support was of limited to no help.
So your frustration with Alta HR is well known by many. Not a big comfort for you sadly, just remember to stay away from Fitbit next time. Their service and equipment are sub standard in 2021.

Mine’s just 2 years old. Battery is still very good but it’s decided to track a phantom HR when not being worn.
Tried turning off HR and syncing.
Tried turning on Auto HR and syncing.
Wait more than a minute try it.
Still showing a phantom HR while not wearing.
Used the charger to restart the Fit Bit and it’s still not working.
It’s a piece of junk.
