Is absence of sleep score related to sleep pattern?

Some days my sleep score does not appear although my sleep pattern displays.  Does this have something to do with the pattern itself?  When the sleep score does not show up, my sleep pattern is mostly dark blue/deep sleep with not much variance.

You don't get a sleep score unless you get sleep stages detected.  What you call "my sleep pattern is mostly dark blue/deep sleep with not much variance" is probably when sleep stages are not detected, only times restless and awake.

See Why don't I see sleep stages today?

Well that's very deceiving - showing it the same as deep sleep if it's not
even detectable. You would think they would show that as yellow or similar.
I wear it about 1.5 inches above my wrist on the tightest notch, same as
always. I did not use the Begin Sleep Now option, and my battery was not
critically low, at least it wasn't the first of the two nights. As for
sleeping less than 3 hours, actually, I thought I slept pretty well those
nights.

But thanks for your reply and the link. I will definitely start keeping a
closer eye on the battery power.

Maybe you did discover, but just before and after that link is much more information about sleep measurement.

I agree, sometimes it is not apparent why didn't get sleep stages.
