Is the Alta HR a defunct product?

Hi All,

I haven't used my Alta HR since last November and the other day I dusted it off and got it charged up again ready to go.

I had it plugged into my windows 10 laptop and it seemed to sync easily automatically and again it synced with my Huawei Honor 10 with the app that I already had installed from last November.

One day on and the Alta HR won't sync with the Honor 10, I keep getting the message device not found and I have reconnected it numerous times with the Bluetooth.  I read some forum topics and I realise that Fitbit does not work well with an Honor 10 phone.  The mystery here is it worked well enough last year but now no joy.

So, I plugged the Alta HR into my windows 10 laptop.  It won't sync and it won't pair with the bluetooth after multiple attempts.

So, I plugged the Alta HR into my partners windows 10 laptop.  It won't sync and it won't pair with the bluetooth after multiple attempts.

I can't figure out how to sync manually to the computer.

So, I tried the ipad and the Alta HR won't pair with the bluetooth, the ipad can't even find the Alta HR!

What is wrong with my Alta HR??  It has firmware version 26.26.63.2

Is Fitbit forcing me to purchase a new more up to date product??

One suggestion: when you have so many possible sync devices around, temporarily turn off bluetooth on all of them except the one you want to use.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

if you where able to connect to the Bluetooth, please remove this connection or the app will not find the tracker.

Everything has to be done through the Fitbit app.
