My Alta can’t hold a charge

It seemed like I was always charging and resetting my Fitbit, so I started keeping a log. I have had to charge it everyday for the last week and reset it twice. Once, the full charge only lasted 2 hours. This is getting ridiculous. What else can I do?

How old is your Alta @erin304. The battery does have a limited life.

Less than a year. I got this one in June.  But this problem has been happening since November, I just dealt with it.

I am having the same problem. When I sync it with my phone,  it says I have 75%battery left.

Just wondering if you had an answer to your question as I’m having the same trouble - I am thinking the battery needs replacing as I’m having to charge it every 2 hours and when I do put it back on charge it says it’s fully charged .
not sure how I reset it though

It has been staying  charged for 2 days now. I  pushed the reset button on the charger cable 3 times every time I  plugged it in. I  didn't know there was reset button until I read about it. Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S8+, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

Some of them don’t have one. See if you can buy one on eBay.

I do that, it doesn’t help. But I also do think I should HAVE to do it every time. That’s just ridiculous

Look at your charger (the USB part). Is there a button?  If there is, start charging the Fitbit. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds, 3 times in a row. The Fitbit screen will show the charging diamond and it’s reset.

It is on the cord that plugs into the charger,  the USB has a black  circle,  that is the button. Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S8+, an AT&T 5G Evolution capable smartphone

I've been having a similar problem for about the last 6 weeks.  Mine is holding battery life for around 5 days but when I do charge it the battery icon on my Alta Fitbit is solid in colour but when I take it off the charge and tap it nothing happens and the screen is blank.  I then have to reset it.  When I do this the battery icon displays less than half charged.    I'm also finding that it gets to about half charged on the battery icon and then next thing it's dead. I have to reset it after ever charge in order to get t to work agan and then sometimes I have to recharge it again.
