Only advice I have is to give up, take or send it back! I had the exact same problem with a new Alta I got on Saturday. I tried everything - restarting, reinstalling, but nothing helped. Only time it would turn on was when it was plugged in. Seems this is a known problem that's gone on for years with no resolution.
So with advice from many on this board - I packed it on Sunday and shipped it back. Since it's no longer supported you basically have to buy them on the internet. After packing it up, went to Best Buy and got an Inspire 2 - works perfectly!

This is the 2nd Fitbit that I have had that the battery doesn’t hold a charge. It only works when plugged in. Can you also make me a ticket or help me too?? I feel like this is a continued problem.
