Is anyone else having issues with their Alta just randomly shutting down even when fully charged? Mine keeps shutting off and I have to keep restarting it and its frustrating because when I restart I lose all of the saved data. I havent gotten it wet (unless sweating counts and Im not a heavy sweater). I have also noticed that it doesnt always want to respond to the taps either so I can view the time or data. Im beginning to wonder if I shouldnt have gotten another model of the fitbit...

I’m having the same issue too. Also says it’s low on charge when I’ve got 40% left still. Only used to get notifications when it was 25%. I have to reset it all the time, it hasn’t made a difference resetting it 3 times. I’m having to charge it more frequently. Sometimes it turns off when it reaches the 10k steps But it’s getting more frequent. So disappointed! I love my Fitbit but I don’t want to have to replace it every few years!

My Fit Bit Alta will not stay on either. I have done multiple restarts and cleaned the trackers. As soon as I unplug it, it is black and will not respond to taps.

My watch is only 1 1/2 years old and it's already breaking. What other company sells watches that are disposable after 1 1/2 years??? What a racket. You can keep you 25 % discount because I would rather put my money towards a better built watch. What a rip off! Your watches are the equivalent of the Hewlett Packard printers. They are made to break and be replaced within 2 years. But, I won't fall for your tactics again. You have lost a customer.

Mine just died too. What gives this only lasts two years and then you have to buy a new one? At least it died for cyber Monday, so I get a small discount. Still, not happy at all!!! 😡

I too am having the same problem. It is 2 years old. Each day for the past month have to restart fitbit. It is charging ok but after placing back on my arm, it lasts for 2-4 hours and then cuts out again. I have tried all the fixes mentioned above but problem continues. Reluctant to buy another type of fitbit in case it only lasts 2 years.

I did not want to deal with my Alta HR acting up, so decided to purchase a new unit. FYI: stay far away from the Inspire 2. While the Alta HR was slick, stylish, and an all around great unit, not so much for the Inspire 2. It had so many quirks that I returned it in less than a week. The side buttons were erratic, the strap release was poorly conceived, and the instructions were inaccurate. Furthermore, tech support had a lot of problems answering any questions regarding this unit. It is definitely not ready for prime time.
I am hoping the Charge 4 will be a much more reliable unit. My fingers. 🤞🏼

Type into your search engine ' restarting Fitbit' and you should see an answer given in a fitbit help article
