Alta HR stopped having any display even though charged and restarted

As several restarts havent helped try lettingnthe battery run completely flat and leave it flat for several hours, then fully charge. If that doesnt revive it I think it has died. As you live in the UK you probably have a 2 year waranty on it so contact Support (link in my signature)

I have the same problem - Alta HR fully charged but the screen is black. Nothing happens even by tapping. Is it dead?  What should I do?  Thanks.

I got mine as a gift a few months back and it was working fine until 3 days ago. It just stopped showing any display. I called support and the warranty was over in December so I also got the 25% offer. However, after research, I see that this seems to be a persistent problem with Fitbit (in fact my husband and I both had issues with past fitbits) so I can’t see me spending money on a consistently faulty product. Super disappointed because I really liked the Alta HR, and had bought several bands.

I had the same experience as you. I don’t find the Fitbit products to be
durable at all - last for a couple of years only. Even they offered the 25%
discount, it worked out to be the same price as other retailers after
discount. Therefore it was not a deal at all. They should offer 25%
discount OFF the sale price, not the regular price. Disappointed!

Add me to the list!  Got Alta as a gift in March 2018.  Charged.  No screen response.  Tried rebooting...nothing.

Hello. I see your title, but I can't see the answer. The same thing has started happening to me over the last month. Sometimes it has charge, but I can't see the display. What did you do?

Best Answer
Unfortunately, I gave up on Fitbit. They told me I had to buy a new one which I haven’t done yet. Will the same thing happen to the next one I buy?

My Fitbit is 85 percent charged and it won't display. Blank screen. What can I do?

Best Answer

Unfortunately the Alta died on me after several tries of restart. I ended
up buying another model.
