New Alta HR not recording daytime naps

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I bought a new Alta HR last month and whilst on the whole I'm very happy with it, I've noticed in the last few days it has stopped logging daytime naps.

Due to my shift pattern, daytime naps are a common occurrence and count towards my daily total so if it's not logging them it looks like I've not had enough sleep.

I could understand this issue if the device was a few years old but I've had it only a month (from new) and it's quite a frustrating flaw.

It should automatically record naps of at least one hour.

Less that that it probably won't.

If that is the issue, you could try using the 'Begin Sleep Now' from the plus sign at top right within sleep tile, and then tap again when awake.  That's not generally recommended as it can prevent detecting sleep stages, but I sometimes find it useful for shorter naps, though I have never seen it officially suggested.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Thanks for your reply. My naps are usually a minimum of 2 hrs so I would imagine they should definitely record them as that's a fair chunk of sleep.
