New Alta HR will not hold charge

This is the fourth Fitbit tracker I have owned.  My brother gave me an Alta HR five or six years ago that his wife did not want to use.  Until the last month, it worked perfectly.  Then it began to fail to charge.  I have an Inspire HR, but don't like it because it tracks only Zone minutes (use it for swimming).  I then bought an Alta which did not track like the old Alta HR so I now have a "new" Alta HR.  I say new in quotes because I don't know if Fitbit even makes them anymore.  I cannot get it to hold a charge for more than several hours.  It shows fully charged and within 45 minutes, it is on medium.  Help!

Hi @tigercat the Alta HR was retired in March 2019, so any new to you one would have a dying battery, at best. Fitbit will continue updates until about two years past the retirement date, so it might be time for a newer device. There is the Inspire 3, which you might want to check on. You can check out this article - click to read - but it might not help you.

I wish I had known this before buying an Alta HR two weeks ago.  I already have an InspireHR but don't like the fact that it will track only zone minutes not all active minutes.
