Had my Alta HR for years. Worked great until a little while ago, now I cannot get it to sync. All it does is tell me to input a 4 digit number. I've tried rebooting tracker, re installing the app, turning bluetooth on and off. Everything. Seems like there's lots of us. Honestly it's rubbish. If there's no fix the company should say, rather than outsource it's customer services to its customers. Won't be recommending Fitbit or buying one again.

Hi @Davidwillans where do you see this 4 digit number? On the watch or the Fitbit app?
It should only show on the app after the user std t an add device.

Hi @Rich_Laue. I see the number on my watch, input it into the app, wait, then it tells me it's not worked. Clearly a software problem because the phone detects the watch. Not a new problem either from the comments on this forum. I have tried lots of solutions, reinstalling everything, resetting the watch, doing each step in different order etc. I've spoken to the help bot on twitter, members of the community, but no one at Fitbit. Not for lack of trying, but I assume because they don't care about their customers enough.

Still not sure why the tracker needs to be setup since removing a non syncing tracker will never fix a sync issue. We still need to get the communication to work.
