Old Alta won't turn on

I’ve had my Fitbit Alta for about 6 years but I haven’t used it for about 2 1/2. It’s just been sitting in a drawer for all that time. When I decided to get it out and charged it- it did just that, no issues. Then I created a new account with my new email and all was fine. It turned on fine, it connected just fine. So once it was fully charged I took it off the charger and put it on and it would work for a few seconds before turning off. I already reset it and synced it to my app but it still won’t turn on. I’ve tried all the tricks I’ve read and none of them work! Should I just get a new one?

Hi @RTru17  honestly, yes. The Alta has been replaced by the Inspire series and now there is the Luxe. After 2.5 years of a dead battery, it's more than likely dead. If all you've done hasn't worked, it doesn't seem likely that it can at this point. With my Alta HR, the older it got, the dimmer the screen. I now have the Luxe and it has a very bright screen. You might want to check for sales, as they often have them on Fitbit's site and authorized retailers. Let us know what you end up getting.
