Only one heart rate sensor is working - Battery drain

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

As the title says, my fitbit Alta HR now only has a single working green hr light.  It still syncs with the app and I still get HR data, however I no longer get sleep metrics.  I've tried rebooting the device a number of times, however there is no change.  The battery life has also diminished to around 3 days from full charge.  The device is 2 years only.  Is there anything I can do?

Hi @AdrianZA, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for your post and for troubleshooting this matter prior to posting. To better assist you with this issue and because your device is still tracking heart rate despite the issue with the sensors, can you please let me know if your Alta HR is not tracking sleep information at all or Sleep Stages? When was the first time you experienced this issue and how many times since then?

I recommend you to check our help article: Why don't I see my heart rate on my Fitbit device? and let me know how it goes. Also, for the battery life issue please check this help article for tips and recommendations to extend the battery life of your Fitbit.

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi @RicardoFitbit , thanks for the reply.

The Alta HR is tracking sleep information, however only as simplified Sleep Details.  I do not receive any information on Sleep Stages or a Sleep Score.  The last time I received this information was on the 5th January.  The problem of only one sensor working is constant and it is not intermittent.  I first noticed this 2 weeks ago.  As mentioned, I've rebooted the device a number of times, however this has not resolved the issue.

I have applied all suggested actions in both the articles you linked, however my device continues to not operate properly.  The battery life of my device has shown a notable decline in performance since owning the device and this is through normal operation.

I look forward to your reply.
