Is there anyone who could help me set my heart zones up so I stop getting "out of zone" for my bpm? Especially happens during walking. I've got my band sitting correct, and I thought adjusting the zones would help. However, since doing that All of my walks have now got "out of zone" I've tried and tried to fix it, but I'm not having any luck,

wish I could help.  My Alta HR has been acting erratically since 6/2.  This week, 6/15 the active rate is highly out of sync.  I too have tried many many things to correct.  I've chatted and emailed with Fitbit, but so far, no solution.  I wonder how many others have this issue.   If anyone else has solution, or has same issue, I'd love to know.  Good luck getting resolved, I'm hopeful there is an answer out there.

Same here. A couple of weeks ago, I started to get inaccurate readings while walking. Somewhere halfway 40 minutes of walking, my BPM will drop "out of zone" for 16 minutes, when I'm quite sure I kept the same pace at high intensity. And then at the end of the walk it will resume normal levels. Quite annoying. The usual placing the Fitbit in different positions, resetting, cleaning etc. does't seem to help. Turning the face of the watch to the inside of the wrist might help, but that can be quite uncomfortable and I'm not sure if there's a cause-and-effect relation there.

This has also been a recent but consistent problem with mine too. It's very annoying, and it cuts down my fat burn time by at least 30mins/day, making my data totally inaccurate. I've tried getting help from support too, but they just gave me generic responses about fit, placement, and "inaccuracies due to air temperature." Since I walk in the mornings, and it can be as cold as 70 degrees when I go out the only thing I can chalk it up to is air temperature, skin temperature, or simply that the device gets too cold. I live in CA so I don't think it's terribly cold this time of year, but they also could not tell me at what ideal temperature the product is designed for. I've even tried wearing a wristband over the device to try to keep it warm but I still can't get it to track a full walk properly.

Hi Christa, Temperature should not be an issue. My Fitbit enjoyed a comfortable 20C (68F) or more these past weeks. Plus it sits on my skin which averages 37C (98.6F) always. So the temperature claim is obviously malarkey. Currently I'm holding my breath waiting to see if my Fitbit changed its ways these past days, it seems to have resumed recording BPM accurately. Two things have changed: I tried changing wrists (which bothers me, but hey), AND I posted in this thread. The first should not make a difference, since it has been working like a charm on the other one over the past years.
