Remove myself from friends rankings

I want to hide myself from my current friends rankings but I have tried everything and don't seem able to. I don't want to stop using the device but just want my data private for now. Should I delete my whole account and start again?

Hello @Maureen12 and welcome to the Help forum.  First, do not delete your account and start over.  You can't merge the two accounts and all previous accomplishments, like lifetime badges, will be lost.  Unfortunately, the only choices available for average daily step count are Friends and Public.  If you want your data private for now, would it work for you to delete friends for a while, then add them back?  Just a thought.
