How can we get service if the Alta HR is out of warranty? Mine needs a battery replacement probably.

Hi @Arrina2000 there are no repairs for these devices. You can search online and there are a few places which sell batteries and also sell the service to install them. However, you'd need to see if the price of that wouldn't exceed the price of a new device.

I don't understand how a "place" can sell batteries. Where do they take them from? This is ridiculous. Basically spend 150 euros every 2 years?! and then trash the device cause the battery is dead...We'd better by cheaper Chinese copies doing the same thing for 10% of the price ...
I have bracelets all colors and ...now the Alta HR is more expensive than the Luxe model?!!! So I cannot purcase an Alta HR anymore, no help as it is out of warranty and life is good for Google.

@Arrina2000 there are businesses out there that provide batteries for a variety of products, not just Fitbit. The Alta HR was retired quite a few years ago and the Inspire 2 is the current version. The Inspire 2 is on sale for $70 right now. Where are you pricing the Alta HR?

Hi Odyssey,
Thanks for the answer. In the end I will go for the Inspire 2 as it has the same functionality . The thing is that I bough plenty of replacement bracelets for Alta HR and now they are useless. Before I had the Alta (no HR) and ...they were a fit. Wanted another Alta HR for this reason. I am from europe and here is a link for buying an Alta HR... https://www.amazon.fr/Fitbit-Tracker-dactivit%C3%A9-Fitness-Taille/dp/B01B25PGRI/ref=sr_1_6?__mk_fr_...
more expensive than what I payed for it 2 years ago. It is becoming a collectible or what?! anyway ...I hope Inspire 2 will be nice. I don't like the design too much.

@Arrina2000 when a style is retired, some people want to have it, so the prices soar. The little Zip was at most $70 new, but it more than double on eBay or Amazon at times. The One can be more than double the original price of $120, I think. People get a style and like it, get used to how it works and they often are willing to pay more to find another one. My friend loves the Zip and has a new one that was purchased when Zip was discontinued. I'm sure you'll like the Inspire 2. As for bands, I still have my Flex bands from years ago!
