Dont know why this is necessary but am unable to access Fitbit App on desktop via dongle since API authorisation is now required. Instructions on this are complicated and not helpful. So cannot access the opening screen and unable to sync or view any history screens. Very frustrating!!

Hello @Yeldud and welcome to the Community. I'm sorry, but Fitbit deactivated the Fitbit app for Windows 10 and Fitbit Connect. You can't sync with a computer and must use a compatible Android or Apple smartphone/tablet.

@Yeldud You shouldn't have a problem adding the Inspire 2. If you received the updated app, tap on the phone/watch icon in the upper left. Tap on the Add more devices choice on the next page. Tap on Inspire 2 and continue the setup. This will add your new Fitbit to your existing account. I think you should remove the Alta HR after you are done. Make sure your Inspire 2 setup is successful. The Alta HR is an older device and some users are having issues with them. Some users can't add them back once removed. Also be sure to remove your Alta HR from the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone.
