Should I keep the Alta HR or try a different Fitbit model?

Purchased an Alta HR in May 2020 and the battery is already not holding the charge.  Customer service was very accommodating about sending a replacement since it is still under warranty.  Not sure whether to take the 50% discount on a different Fitbit or get the free replacement.  suggestions? TIA.

Hi @JBusse, welcome to the Forums.

If you like the Alta HR model and its functions you can select the replacement option but if you prefer to try with a different model, you can use the 50% discount to buy a new device. You can find more information about the Fitbit models in this link fitbit.com/store.

Keep me posted if you have any questions.

I had an Alta HR for three years. I loved it and I have absolutely no regrets. I recently retired my Alta because I was having to charge it more often. It had a good life and it served me well, but batteries don't last forever. I could see that the end was in sight for that unit.

I gave myself an Inspire 2 for Christmas and it is a big step up from the Alta. It took some getting used to, but I really like the Inspire 2 and you might too. It's slightly larger than the Alta, but it has a lot more features and it just works better. If I had a choice and finances were not an issue, I'd go with Inspire 2.

Hi @alexthecat, it's nice to see you again participating here in the Community Forums!

Thanks for sharing your experience and for the recommendation. The Inspire 2 is indeed a great option for a daily basis tracker. You can learn about all its features in this link User Manual

See you around.
