Hey there @Sullisooz @Hilary58, welcome to the Community Forums! 🙂

This sounds very strange... Is the time on your tracker showing correctly or are you also having problems with this? If not, you can try to restart your trackers. You can easily do this by clipping your tracker to the charger and plugging the charger to a USB port on your computer or a wall charger. Then, Press the button on your charging cable three times within four seconds and your tracker should vibrate and show the Fitbit logo. This will make your tracker to reboot.

Also, I would recommend setting them up as new devices. For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Let me know if this makes any difference.

Thanks for replying. My fitbit was only 4 days old when this happened. The date and time are correct, it's only the sleep that's incorrect. I will reboot and start again although I'm not convinced it's reading any of my sleep pattern correctly let alone the days.

Thanks for getting back @Hilary58!

Keep an eye on it and see if restarting it makes any difference. Also, if your Sleep is not being recorded correctly or you're not seeing Sleep Stages, make sure you're doing the following:

  • Make sure you're not sleeping in a position that prevents your device from getting a consistent heart-rate reading or that you're not wearing it too loosely. For best results, wear your device higher on your wrist (about 2-3 finger widths above your wrist bone). The band should feel secure but not too tight.
  • Make sure you're not using the Begin Sleep Now option in the Fitbit app (instead of simply wearing your device to bed).
  • Make sure you're sleeping more than 3 hours.
  • Make sure your device’s battery is not critically low.

Let me know how it goes!

Change the time on your phone/laptop to the correct time. If your phone time is correct simply sync the phone to your alta and it should update. The stats may not be able to recover however it should start working properly.

My app suddenly skipped a day and now my sleep is showing a day in advance on both my windows pc and my phone.  The time and date are correct on my Fitbit and my pc and my phone.

This is clearly a bug in the fitbit software.  Can you please advise when it will be fixed?  Also, if people follow your workaround below will any of the history be lost?

If you delete the most recent sleep log it essentially gets the schedule back on track
