Steps accuracy and battery life concern

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve been lying on my couch for an hour, my Alta says I’ve done 1k in steps!

Also, I’m having to charge it every day.

Is there a way to test to see if it’s faulty?

Hi @NYCSavage, welcome to the Community Forums! Sorry for the  delayed reply.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. In regards the accuracy of the steps that are being recorded, please check our help article: How accurate are Fitbit devices? and let me know how it goes. Also, the battery of our Alta HR was designed to last 5 days but this also depends on how frequently you use it’s features. That said, I recommend you charging your Fitbit device with a USB port from a computer or a UL-certified outlet into the wall and then turn off all the features that you don’t use that much. After doing so, please this help article for more tips and recommendations.

Keep me posted and let me know if you have any additional questions.
