My fitbit is recording steps but when I go to my ipad and log in, after syncing, steps for today are not recorded

When this happens it is usually a problem with the phone or the app. So restart your ipad. If that doesn't fix it uninstall the fitbit app from the ipad and then install it again and log back into your account and it should work properly. It may also be worth restarting you AltA HR as well.
