My strap on both side won't stay connected to the Fitbit face, therefore I have to be extremely visulant with it as many of times it's fallen off my wrist without me knowing.

Have you thought about replacing the band?

This is a flaw in the Alta HR. I had to have my band replaced after 6 months then it happened again. I’m running out of bands. I didn’t have this problem with my Alta which appears to have the same kind of band connectors. Of course the screen in the Alta just went black after a year so.....as usual, another Fitbit product that fails just after its warranty expires.

If the point of connection is broken, it would be evident.
The Alta HR, Alta, Ace all share the same band, if it was a design flaw, these birds would be flooded with complaints.
My sis and aunt bought the metal basnd off Amazon.f My sis simply wanted a dressier band and my aunt's band fell apart, never fell off, after a couple of years.
The Ace I gave to my friends child still has the original band.
Just my thoughts and perceptions, I'm sorry but to me it seems another case of many people don't have an issue with a few can't keep it working.

There are multiple threads about the band issue dating back to over a year ago. Fitbit replaced my band after 6 months and it failed again after another 6. The Amazon replacements are also failing. My children's bands have not failed. Yet. I’m glad yours have not had this problem but that does not mean there wasn’t something wrong with the way a substantial number were made and splitting hairs over whether it is a systemic design flaw or something else doesn’t solve the problem for the thousands of people experiencing it.
