Swimming pool killed my Alta HR

Used an indoor swimming pool for the first time since getting the tracker.  Now it doesn't work.  Won't charge, doesn't activate.  Dead in the water, so to speak.  Thought this was suppose to be waterproof!

Hi @Rosco71  the Alta HR is splash proof, not water proof. You can see this on Page 34 of the user manual - click to go there.  After it's gotten that wet, you can try putting it into a bowl of dry rice for 48 hours, then clean all the connectors and try charging it again. Since you tried charging it while it was still wet, it may have fried some components in it. See if the rice helps, but since it's not waterproof, it might not revive. Sorry.

Hmmm...you're right.  Probably will be looking to get the Charge 4.  The good news is that my husband wore his Versa 2 in the pool and it had no problem with the water.

@Rosco71 glad to know his Versa 2 did well in the water. Now you'll need to pick a color for your new Fitbit!
