Unable to sync with laptop - says Connection Failed

Have an android phone version 7.1.1 and Alta HR will no longer sync since it has gone thru several updates, so deleted the Fitbit app but when I tried to re-install it, it cannot be found on my phone.  Trying to sync my Alta with my laptop but it says "Connection Failed".  How can I sync it with my laptop?

Hi @Nani2  the minimum requirement for Android is System 8. You must have that in order to download the app. I'm sorry you removed your older app, because Google Play Store no longer has it for download. As for your computer, read how to set up on it - click.
