Weekend warriors steps not matching my actual steps

This weekend I did a challenge with friends and I racked up in the group 29k steps yet my actual steps were 35k, any idea why these don’t match?

Are you in the same timezone as the person who started the challenge? It starts and ends at midnight in the timezone of the person who started the challenge, so your steps may not be exactly the same as what your tracker counted in your timezone.

Hi, yes all in the same time zone and everyone has done the sync. Still nothing changed. I have contacted Fitbit and they couldn’t answer either. Said they would look into it and let me know
