I’m a runner, female, 36 years old. My resting heart rate usually varies between 52 and 60, normally around 55-56. Sleeping heart rate usually averages my resting heart rate, but it may go up to 70s and down to 40s throughout the night. Last night I got a weird reading for about half an hour between 12:30-1 am my heart rate was above 120+, reaching up to 134, which is my heart burn zone. I don’t even get that high rate when I’m walking. My running heart rate is between 160-185 depending on how hard I push myself. I was in REM for just a portion of this spike, but not the entire time. And I have never seen any reading like this before. Anyone seeing anything like this? Is this possibly a Fitbit bug or I’m possibly looking at a cardiovascular issue? Pretty alarming. I felt fine today, nothing out of the ordinary. Two variables worth mentioning: 1) I did swim in salt water with my Fitbit on over the weekend for about 15 mins, because I forgot it on 2) I’ve had a really busy and stressful week.
Thanks in advance!
