I just got a brand new (never opened) Alta from a friend. It said it was full when I first linked it to my phone. I left it plugged in while it was doing it's setup and update. Now it says it's charged to medium, and as soon as I unplug it it shuts off. I've tried the reset button twice with no luck. What can I do?

Hi @LaceyMW  might be new in the box, but the Alta was retired over two years ago. When you say it shuts off, do you mean the screen is dark? It should wake up when tapped or your wrist turns.

It acts dead and won't do anything when tapped on unless it's plugged in.

Make sure the firmware is current - the app will tell you if it has an update. Restarting doesn't hurt, so you can do that a few more times.
