alta is not working off charger

if you put my Alta on charge it works normally until you take it off it dose fine until you let the screen go off and then it wont turn back on i have tred resting it many time nothing still doing it left it on charge for 4 howers still same problem pleads help

welcome to the club of unhappy and enraged fitbit customers victims. 

i am facing exact the same problem, and as most people in the forum.

 

Fitbit alta has some security feature that shuts down and resets itself (closer to a proper factory reset) when exposed to extreme temperatures.

I tried that and worked for me for a while....

 

1. Remove your device form the App.

2. Put your Alta in a plastic bag in put it in the freezer for a couple of hours. Really!

3. Connect the fitbit to the cable and it will turn on and warm a little. (Do not sync it)

 

After that the device become responsive for a while... but after connecting to any of the apps the problem came back.

If i don't sync, it works. 

 

The apps are sabotaging the device.
