fitbit alta hr crashes after 4 days from loading instead of 7 days
always with alert that I programmed at a certain hour
can only load after 7 days (after previous loading)
I get the message battery and !
Do I have to load again before it crashes?
I use a lot of sunscreen in the summer. Maybe it is dammaged because of the sunscreen?
I have not tried (press the use button 3 times within 4 seconds) yet

Hi, @ikke2 , the Alta HR is now a very old device in electronic terms, and it sounds like your Alta HR battery is failing. As I am sure you know, all rechargeable batteries have a limited life span, so it might be time to think about replacing your Fitbit friend for a newer, more modern one. The Inspire series was designed to replace the Alta series, so that might be one you would enjoy.
In the meantime, by all means try the restart procedure - the one where you press the button 3 times within 4 seconds while it is plugged in and charging - that can fix many issues, although it won’t totally rejuvenate a battery that is coming to the end of its life…
Sunscreen is unlikely to affect a battery issue or damage most aspects of your Fitbit device, but if you do decide to get a new Fitbit you should be aware that use of sunscreen can cause deterioration in the water resistance, so might not be a good idea to swim with your Fitbit if it is regularly exposed to a lot of sunscreen.
