I've logged out & then in again, turned the Bluetooth off & on again, restarted my phone & still no joy. Any ideas what else I can do?

I've reset about 10 times, unistalled and reintalled app, turned blue tooth on and off, paired and unpaired....going on 3 days and still my laptop and iPhone won't find tracker even though it is in the bluetooth deivecs group. I am really discouraged as they do not give these away and to have so many issues!

@bweha Do you have a Charge 2? This is the Alta HR forum and the Alta HR charger has a button. The Charge 2 charger does not. Check the link to see how to restart a Charge 2

I'm having this problem repeatedly WITH resetting/ restarting my Fitbit. It's a reoccurring problem not solved by ordinary troubleshooting steps. Restarting works sometimes, but sometimes I have to do it multiple times. Restarting bluetooth and the app never works.
HOWEVER, I read above where someone suggested turning off all other nearby Bluetooth devices. So I turned off everything else except my phone, and miraculously the Alta then synced with my phone! It's going to be a pain in the neck if you're in a multi-Bluetooth household to have to worry about any other Bluetooth devices being on!
I'll come back and update if the problem recurs and the turning off nearby bluetooths solution doesn't work.

I tried resetting my tracker, turning blue tooth on and off, unpairing and repairing (at which point blue tooth could no longer find my tracker), and restarting my phone. The only thing that worked, as another poster mentioned, was to unpair all other blue tooth devices and then search once again for my Alta HR. My phone's blue tooth finally found it and it synced after trying for 3 days unsuccessfully. Unfortunately, now that my Alta HR repaired so my app could find it, the app updated and now I have a sleep score showing up instead of average hours slept. Ugh!

Try cleaning the connections on the charger and on the back of the fitbit with alcohol and a cotton swabs. If it's really dirty you might have to use a pin to gently scrape the connections clean.

I have tried everything suggested and my fit bit which worked yesterday does not connect to my phone any more. I feel so mad that I want to throw the thing away and buy something from another company.

My Fitbit charger cable has no button. Have no idea what button you are talking about.

This worked for me thank you. I thought I'd have to manually type in steps and activity for the past week. I came across this post after visiting the help page, forums, restarting my app and bluetooth ten time. Uninstalling the app. Thank you. Resetting my alta fixed the sync problem and saved my steps

Similar issue in 2021!
I have the versa 2 and was having the same issue trying to update it and after an hour finally got it to work. I unpaired the watch from my phone then deleted the app and reinstalled it. I switched my wifi off and back on again. Then I turned back on my Bluetooth but did not try to pair the watch, I went straight to the app and it did the bluetooth setup from there. Then I set the wifi for the update to a different wifi than what my phone was on and it finally found the tracker and did the update.
