I always enter even pounds, but a fractional pound is displaying on my weight loss on the website. This is reflected in my weight loss shown on the dashboard on my app.
Looking at my weight log I have clearly lost 3st 6.5lbs since my starting weight on the 14th January 2019. This is showing on my app dashboard as 3st 5.9lb and I can’t see why!!

May I ask which device the Fitbit app is on? This is a question not about your Alta HR.

I thought it was because my Fitbit Alta HR is linked to the app and the app isn’t showing the correct information.
Does this need moving to a different area of the community?
Kind regards

The Alta HR is linked to your Fitbit account.
The Alta HR has nothing to do with your weight, which either gets entered directly through the Fitbit app or the web at Fitbit.com. It looks like you use the app.
My thought is that since the data is not correct in the app. It would be help full to know which of the 4 different platforms the app would be on.
Do you see the same thing on the web
? Maybe someone else has experienced this.

Hi there
Thanks for your comment.
It seems to be an issue with the fitbit website and the information to and from the app.
I log my weight on the fitbit app and the app shows my correct weight.
My weight is logged in stones pounds and half pounds I don’t use any other fractions other than a half pound. On the app my total weight loss is showing as 3lb 5.9lb when in fact it is 3st 6.5lb
On logging into the website my weight log is showing most of my entries with fractions other than 0.5lb there are several with a 4 or a 9!
Over time these fractions add up and hence, I assume, the difference showing for my actual weight loss.
I've tried to enter screen shot of the log entries for my weight over the last few entries – but it won't let me. I can see that there are several fractional weights – on Monday I logged 14st 1lb but it is showing as 14st 09lb – under goal progress it is showing weight loss as 3st 6lb – so a different reading again (my app shows 3st 5.9lb).
I hope that makes sense.
I’m not sure if anyone else has noticed this there was something else in the community but it was 2016.
There are lots of comments about recording food in fractions etc etc but I cant see anything relating to this issue where I have specifically entered a specific weight and it has changed it i.e. 14st 1lb showing as 14st 0.9lb.
Thanks for your help.

It appears that this is a known issue! This is the reply from Fitbit support!
‘Thanks for letting us know about this issue. We’re aware of it, but may not be able to provide a fix in the immediate future. We'll continue to monitor the situation, and keep our team informed of the impact to you and other customers. We understand that this isn't the resolution you're hoping for, but rest assured we're always working to improve our products.’
On searching other forums it seems to have been occurring since at least 2016! So their response is disappointing! It defeats the object if you need to use alternative means to accurately track your weight!

Dear Fitbit, my Flex 2 has recently showed this fractional change, but I only use the app to enter my weight. I only use full or half pound recordings. The 0.9lb is really annoying and I don't like it. It puts me off putting my weight on the app, as it shows as less weight loss that what shows on the scales. Please, please fix this problem... It only started about 4 months ago... Thanks in advance.

So far people seem to think that they enter their weight through the alta and flex. Then they mention adding the weight in the app, with no mention of which app.

Hello Rich, thanks for your reply. I as m refering the Fitbit App itself. When I add my new weekly weight, I put in x stone and y pounds. For some reason it displays as x stones and x.9 pounds. I would want the display to reflect my input without any changes. Hope this helps. Vikki
